Tap on each piece of tackle for a more detailed description, telling you best case uses, pros, cons and more. Tap on any piece of tackle to go to its page, where you can learn more about it. On the piece’s dedicated page you can learn about it through a quick description, category, brand model and more.
Reviews
Another new feature, which is included in Top Gear is, user-submitted ratings of pieces of tackle. Like an app review, or any sort of online review, users can rate pieces for an aggregate score out of five stars. When you tap on a piece of gear under the Top Gear heading, you can see what other anglers think of that particular piece.
Accessing Top Gear
Locate this feature by looking up a species under the “Lookup Fish Species” tab.
To access:
- Tap “More” in the bottom right corner
- Scroll down and tap on “Lookup Fish Species”
- Search your fish species of choice and tap on the selection
- Tap “Top Gear” just above the species description
- Select from the several different gear types by swiping
