Fishing is better with friends. Most fishing stories feature timeless characters who were with us through thick and thin. Whether the bite was hot, you were soaked to the bone, or just enjoyed being on the water; friends are a staple of fishing.
FishAngler is a great place to make new fishing acquaintances. But it’s also a welcome community for your longtime fishing friends, too.
To make sure you stay connected with your fishing buddies, while making new ones, FishAngler offers a simple mechanism to send invitations right through the app.
Inviting Friends
Inviting a friend is the easiest way to make sure your fishing pals are on the same fishing platform as you are, admiring all of the catches you log.
You can invite friends using over six different methods, including:
- Your phone’s contact list
- Facebook Messenger
- Your email list
- Text messages
- A shared link
- Any other social apps you have available on your phone!
How to Send Invites
- Tap the “More” icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the FishAngler app screen.
- Scroll down to the “Preferences” section of the menu and select “Invite Friends”.
- Choose your preferred method of inviting your friend from the selection located on the pop-up bar at the bottom of the screen.
- Depending on the option you choose, find the friend you would like to invite and send them an invitation or edit what gets included in the post you put up with the link.
The invitation you send to your fishing buddy will walk them through how to register an account on the app, then how to download it from Google Play, or the App Store.
Once your friend has registered an account and downloaded the app, start following their fishing activity!
Later when posting photos and catch data, you and your friends can tag each other in photos and catch reports, which notifies them when you post the catch.
