We wish we lived in a world where having to report a post or block a user on the app wasn’t necessary. That being said, we do our best to ensure that the global FishAngler app community is safe and secure for those who choose to be part of it. Below you’ll find tools to help you report a post, report an user, or block a user altogether.
Reporting a Post
As with any platform, you may come across content in your FishAngler app Feed that you find less than amusing. Remember in those cases that you have the ability to tailor what you see in your following feed by only following anglers who post content you are interested in.
On the other hand, users will occasional post content that some may consider offensive. In those cases, we empower our users to report posts.
To report a post, tap the three-dot icon in the upper right-hand corner of the post in question. A menu will slide up from the bottom of the screen including the ability to Share to…, Report Post, Follow Angler, Block Angler, or Report Angler. From here you can tap “Report Post”.
On the following screen, you can submit what the report reason is from the following options:
- Copyright or Trademark Violation
- Vulgar, Rude or Uses Bad Language
- Sexually Explicit
- Harassment or Hate Speech
- Threatening, Violent or Suicidal
- Spam or Scam
- Photo should not be on FishAngler
You will also be provided the opportunity to tell us more. Populate the Details section with any additional feedback you wish to submit to our team regarding the post.
Report a User
If a user’s posts violate our terms of service, and/or they repeatedly post inappropriate, spam or offensive content, we encourage users to report them.
To report a user, tap the three-dot icon in the upper right-hand corner of one of their posts. Alternatively, you can tap the three-dot icon in the upper right-hand corner directly from their angler profile. A menu will slide up from the bottom of the screen including the ability to Report Angler.
On the following screen you can tell us why you are reporting this angler from the following options:
- Spammer
- Offensive
- Other
You will also be provided the opportunity to tell us more. Populate the Details section with any additional feedback you wish to submit to our team regarding the user.
Block Angler
While we hope your experience with other anglers on the app are agreeable, we understand that sometimes blocking another user can be necessary.
To block a user, tap the three-dot icon in the upper right-hand corner of one of their posts. You can also tap the three-dot icon in the upper right-hand corner directly from their angler profile. A menu will slide up from the bottom of the screen including the ability to Block Angler.
You will be asked to confirm whether you’d like to block the user. You will no longer be able to see the their content, and they will no longer be able to see yours. If you wish to unblock the user, you can do so from their angler profile.
