Notifications pop up on our digital devices constantly for reasons like meetings, reminders and bills to pay. But all we really want is fishing information, right?! FishAngler notifications take away the doldrums of daily notifications by letting you know when friends and followers comment on your photos, answer questions or want to join your local fishing group. Here’s how to manage your FishAngler notifications settings.

Getting Started

First things first! To manage your notifications, you need to find your notification settings. Tap the notifications hook in the top right-hand corner of your app screen. Then select the wheel icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen. This will take you to the Notifications Settings page.

Notification Settings

This page allows you to manage your FishAngler Notifications at a high level. From here you can turn email and push notifications on or off, for notifications on the Global Feed. When notifications are on, you will receive a message on either your smartphone or email when someone on your Global Feed posts a catch, comments on one of your posts, or tags you in a post.

You can also navigate to more specific pages to manage, like your:

  • General Page,
  • Posts Page,
  • Communities Page,
  • and More.

General Settings

Your General Settings apply to push notifications and email notifications.

You can choose to turn on or off email and push notifications for whenever someone:

  • Follows you on FishAngler,
  • Likes your post,
  • or comments, replies, or tags you in a post.

Post Settings

In Post Settings, you can turn on or off push notifications and email notifications when anyone you follow posts a new catch, photo, or report. You can also choose to receive or silence notifications when a new post is made regarding a body of water you follow.

Community Settings

Community Settings are for members of FishAngler Groups and Pages. These settings will allow for email and push notifications whenever a member of a FishAngler Group or Page creates a new post. This is an effective way of keeping up-to-date on events and meetings occurring within your Group or Club. Members owning or belonging to a Page will also find notifications necessary to respond to business inquiries.

Admins for a FishAngler Group or Page will also find notifications useful for managing requests from potential members.

You can choose to turn on or off email and push notifications for whenever someone:

  • Creates a new post,
  • or requests to join a Group or Page (admins only.)

Other Notifications

The last type of notification you can choose to receive are from the FishAngler team for special giveaways, offers and product updates that can be sent to you via a push notification or email. You can manage these settings by tapping on Other Notifications located on the Notifications Settings screen.

You can choose to turn on or off email and push notifications for:

  • FishAngler product updates,
  • or FishAngler special offers and giveaway updates.
